Here's my specs as of 2 weeks ago, ammonia. 25, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 5ppm, ph 8. 55g tank, fluorite plant substrate, about 14 amazon swords and 10 water wisteria. 9 zebra danio, 4 giant danios, 1 male betta, 4 ghost shrimp, 4 sunburst plattys. Tank is 5 months old, with 2 55 watt ho bulbs. I'm getting a very short fuzz or hair algae on all my plants, rocks, and can't get control of it. Any help would be great.

How long are you leaving your lights on?
Was 10, down to 8 now.

are you dosing ferts and if so how often? more shimp, a few otocinclus, or a pleco would help keep it under control.

I agree with lucien add some cleaners to the tank they will help with the algae
I have 6 ottos, every pleco I've added only lives about 3 weeks. Plecos do great glass and rock cleaning, but ottos barely touch plants

You gotta find your balance of fish, plants, lighting and nutrients. Looks to me that there should be more plants or less light.
