Hey everyone, I need some help.  I recently set up a fish tank and because there are no good LFS  by me, I was stuck buying fish and plants from two chain stores.  Lesson learned - I should have just ordered them online.  Here's my problem - the Petsmart fish are sick with nasty parasites (white anchor worms and some other kind of fungus that doesn't look like ich.  I removed my japonica shrimp so that I could treat the water, but now it seems like my plants are melting and turning brown despite the medication box indicating that the meds are plant safe.  I am not using aquarium salt.

Tank Stats:

25 gallon tank with an Aqueon external filter, temp is approx. 79*F, and ph is steady at 6.8, plus an airstone

Carib Sea Flora Max Substrate

5 Harlequin Rasboras, 5 Zebra Danios, 6 Fancy Guppies (6 Japonica shrimp removed for now)

2 bunches of Ludwigia Repens, 1 Dwarf Baby Tears, 2 small Amazon Swords, 1 tiny Red Tiger Lotus, 1 Crypt Parva, 1 Dwarf Hairgrass, and 1 Madagascar Lace, 1 banana plant, 2 Anubias Nana, and some java moss shoved in a piece of driftwood.

The light is a Coralife 24" T5 Dual Lamp Fixture and currently has 1 - 6,700K 14 Watt bulb and 1 - Colormax 14 Watt bulb (that I am waiting to swap out with one of the Floramax plant bulbs) 

I am going to do a water change Saturday as per the med box instructions, but will be doing a second dose next week.  I added some liquid ferts last week before the outbreak and added 2 dry fert tabs (one on each side of the tank) by the Lace and Baby tears last night.  The Lace plant is going brown, some of the leaves on the swords are turning yellow, a few of the leaves on the crypt are going yellow, and the Baby Tears seem like they're washing out underneath.  The other plants - Anubias, Hairgrass, Lotus, and Ludwigia seem to be holding tight..  Any additional advice would be appreciated.  Thanks.
