so i recently had a hydra problem that i didnt catch till it was to late. i lost a whole batch of fry and a couple of older barbs. so i decided to use a copper type medicine to kill the hydras and it worked, it didnt kill my snail problem though, i wish it did so i just pull em out by hand and feed em to my RES. so now my plants have started to sufer i have horn wart and all the spines fell off the stems except for the tips of the stems theyve stayed intact and my aponogeton has some healthy leaves and some that are turning yellow or translucent. whats worse is that it had a runner with flowers about to bud but then that melted away. my money wart on the other hand seems to be doing just fine and i have a banana plant that is currently growing one new leaf like every month but another one slowly begins to melt away.

i need help brainstorming what could be going on. i have an iron slash carbon supplement that i put once a week except for the two weeks that i was trying to get rid of the hydras. i just bought that special clay that you mix with the substrate for the plants and i wanted to get more info if i should completely redo my tank or just add the clay with maybe a 75%water change. like i said i need help brainstorming i tryed to ask the peeps at the shop i was at (fountainsaqauriums.com) and i felt intimidated by these experts. i dont think i got my question out as i wanted to plus i get anxious easily. so help if you can homies mybe let me in on insider tips or whatever i would greatly appreciate it :)
