Hey so I was just wondering for those of you that dont have algae eaters, how do you manage the algae? I have a bowfront so its hard to get the front. I have a pleco but he is getting old I have tried many approaches, brushes paper towels etc... are there any plants that could help with this. Aside from that what are your favorite floating plants?

There are others that can do the job.

Cherry Shrimps

Snails

Plants that has expose roots in stem sections like floating plants

Or do daily water changes. Also when putting new water, do it slowly.

What is your set-up?

get a bristilenose pleco...best pleco out there...very active!

water sprite and wisteria will absorb nitrate to prevent algae growth

I have a 16 gallon and was posibly going to return my pleco to my lfs soon, I feel bad for him being in such a small tank
