Hi everyone,
So i have a little 1.5 gallon tank that i set up to be a shrimp tank. IT is a cube and is planted. I have dirt and then a layer of PFS (pool filter sand) on top. So the tank has a mini filter which is the hagen elite mini internal filter which works great, and a little hydor mini 7.5 watt heater which keeps it between 76-82. It also has a 10 watt CFL 6,500k bulb on it. So i have a betta in there right now but eventually i want to get RCS. I want to know how many i can get and just general information on them!
Thanks, Braden :D

The only problem being with your setup is that it is a bit small for a big number of shrimp. But you have nothing to worry about because these shrimp reproduce quite quickly, and within a short space of time you will have to many for your tank and then you either sell them off or give them away.
These shrimp are also agressive eaters ,so you can acctualy feed them instead of them having to pick up leftovers. So far in my experience of keeping these shrimp they will eat pretty much anything from flakefood to beefheart , so you will have no problems in feeding them.
I'm interessted to know how powerful that filter is because , even though they are strong swimmer they can still get sucked up into it.
The last thing is that are you still going to have the betta in the tank when you put in the red cherry shrimp because he might get a liking for them and gobble them all up
