Ok so as always I somehow manage to forget to add clay to the dirt when setting up a tank. Only once out of six have I actually remembered. It's no biggie to me cause I just make clay spikes and freeze them and just shove them in near all my plants. But I got to thinking about what could be better for my little 5g tank. Put a dozen or so clay spikes in or buy root tabs? I'm thinking clay has the benefit of lasting longer but te spikes have other nutrients in them then just iron. Except so does the dirt... So hmm what to do? What is everyones thoughts on it?
