Hydrometer to measure the salt levels .If u want just fish 1.023 will be fine ,if u want a reef aquarium then u need 1.025 ppm of salt  for the corals .R/o di water will work the best .Acclamation of saltwater fish is very slow .A fresh water fish will take 20-30 min ,a saltwater fish can take up to a hour and half or more .Also a lot of water testing and a lot of light if u want corals.Sps corals need 4-5 watts per gallon of light .It depends on what u want fish or reef .
