I bought an Odyessa dual T5 fixture for my tank, and I thought it was too much light, so I took it off.  I then bought a single T8 Life Glo bulb, and have been using that for a week.  I have gravel substrate, DIY Co2, with Java Ferns, Anubias, Swords, Anacharis, and some Wisteria.  I noticed this past week with the Life Glo bulb I'm getting new roots on plants that I've had for two months and have been at a stand still.  Now I'm thinking more light is the answer, and am thinking of putting the T5 fixture back on.  What do you all think?

Sometimes it takes a month or longer for a plant to acclimatize to the new environment before you will start to see significant growth.

i think you should go ahead and use the T5, but i would suggest maybe cutting back the hours you keep the light on for the first couple of weeks to help stop a possible algae bloom

I think I'm going to go with the t5 like you said.  I noticed the top of my wisteria plant is really doing great, better than the bottom section, so I'm hoping the t5 gets mroe light down towards the bottom of the tank.  I'll probably put the lights on a timer for about 6 hours during the day.
