Hey guys I just rescued a turtle from a bad home and am doing research. I was looking into learning to grow plants to help remove nitrates and use as food. It has been somewhat over whelming trying to learn about lighting. I am looking to grow some easy plants like anacharis. If anyone could point me in the direction of a good light for plant growth in about a 10 gallon section of my sump that would be awesome. Or if there are any good videos or sites for very beginners, everything I have found talks about t-5, t-8s and this is all like a different language to me.

Wow that is a lot cheaper than everything I was looking at. Guess I was making it more complicated then it needed to be. Thanks for the help!

Yeah, what Peter suggests is all you'll need.
