Substrate and Plant Help For 10 Gallon Freshwater Tank?

Just Bought a ten gallon tank. I am planning on making it a planted tank and i want to breed gouramis in it once i get it established too. im trying to find a good substrate for plants. Ive heard of Eco-complete substrate and was wondering if it would be sufficient for most plants. I also read that dirt can work under the gravel , but would that work with fish in the tank or is it harder to clean?Any reccomendations on substrate for plants and fish? I am going to buy a T8 light to put inside the hood that came with the tank which has a florescent light in it. Will a T8 Light be sufficient for plants? Also, i am looking for plants to put in my tank too. Any recommendations? Thanks

if you have subscribe to some of the feature member on here and look at some of their video...that would give you a general idea of plants and how they use the dirt in their tank.

1.  Dirt is cheap. Eco complete is a bit expensive but should do since your tank is small.

2. You can keep fish in the tank with dirt

3. With T8 light, you are going for low light plants.
