Some reach a very large size and generally are more course and game fish. Here in the UK you can rarely find the Everglades pygmy sunfish. It is a very small fish of which isn't particularly popular.

It generally depends on where you live and we have two main species found in stores in the UK usually. Just look for places which stock rarer species.
