Anyone think putting lights on for 6hr on 6hr off constantly would grow moss faster cos I read that they only need 6hr to synthesise. I can't see why not but I'm a novice.

I'm no expert mate, but I don't think this lighting setting would suit your fish much, or your plants.

I have my lights on a timer for 8hrs a day, a simple CO2 diffuser, fert caps added to the base of main plants and Flourish trace elements added twice weekly and all my plants are doing really well, except my moss which seems to be struggling.

Java moss is apparently easy to grow, what are we doing wrong?
