Tigers and Rainbows?

Just got a 55 that came with 2 big fat tiger barbs, 1 blue gourami, and a pleco. They all seem to get along even though I read there should be at least 7 barbs. Can I try rainbows with them? Should I get more barbs first? Also liked the look of diamond tetras... What would you do?

I personally would get rid of all fish and get discus. But thats just me. Lol but in u probably like ur fish. Just get 5 more barbs and get rainbows also u have enough space. U could get rid of the

Pleco cus they are poop machines and get more barbs or rainbows. Just get a few at a time to add to ur tank slowly

Discus are beautiful but I'm looking for more of a community tank.

I'm not a fan of plecos either (unless they are the small varieties.)

Just worried about compatibility. I wouldn't have picked tiger barbs but they are pretty entertaining-That is as long as they don't shred other fish that go in the tank.

o thats right i read tiger barbs nip a bit at fish fins so its ur choice. then again rainbows don't have long fins and they are pretty active and move pretty fast.
