Hi to all forum users.

I have a 55g low tech tank with 14 amazon swords but was wondering if that's too many for a tank of this size?

I'm using root tabs for each plant and they're looking fairly healthy but they just aren't growing taller than half the height of my tank.

Tank specs:

55g

Lighting - 1 Power-Glo Tube T8 40W & 1 Aqua-Glo Tube T8 40W

I have 1 sword in my 90 gallon and it takes up about half the tank, I would consider thinning some of yours out!
I have one that is so big every leaf lays at the surface. They get pretty big. But if you have no lower plants it might look cool to have a leafy canopy for all the fish to hang under.

... but remember there are amazon swords and there are amazon swords.... some types grow bigger than others.

Thanks for the help!

I've swapped a couple with a friend for some Jungle Val.
