I know you want to trim some leaves if they are dying so energy can be used elsewhere.
BUT I know there are some plants that they are able to reabsorb nutrients left in the leaves.
For example if I have a dying leaf but some of it is still green, some plants are able to reabsorb those green parts or nutrients....so you don't want to just cut off the whole leaf.
QUESTION: I have some jungle val where the leaves have holes/turning brown/torn up(got from the fish store this way). Does this plant reabsorb nutrients? Should i cut the whole leaf off to the base and just wait for new growth?
I have a dirted 75 gal tank for about a month now and just put in (Dec15) 2 flora-glo Hagen 40 watt bulbs in. Now just waiting for lots of plant growth.
The water wisteria has a lot of new plant growth but still the old/wrinkled up leaves from the pet store. Should I cut off those leaves?
