Trouble with Plant Tank!

My tanks is a 28 Gallon JBJ Nano Cube, with the stock CF-Quad.I have a Bio Cube UV sterilizer connected to one of the pumps. For my substrate I used Fluorite. I Dose liquid CO2 Dailey and Leaf Zone Weekly. I try to do a weekly water change of 6 Gallons, I use spring Water. My Tank was doing great until I went on Vacation for two weeks. When I came back home tank was covered in so much hair algae you couldn't even see the fish. I lost three fish when I was away and no my tanks hasn't been the same. The plant leaves have holes in them and they just are not looking as healthy. I'm back to my weekly water changes, and I pull the hair algae out manually. I just need advice!!!

Just going to have to ride it out I think. Keep getting rid of the algae and doing water changes. I'd also remove some of the worst leaves to let new growth come through.

I don't use CO2 myself. Maybe you're trying to do too much with it? Perhaps cutting back on the CO2 and let your plants grow a bit more slowly will make your tank easier to maintain.

I discontinued the use of CO2 because it just was not needed in my tank. I had a simular problem with the hairy algae, I just removed it and continued with massive water changes, 75% or so and it has been much better. I do have a 90 gallon with all the pumps and sterlizers and such too. The fish have been breeding so much I have become a supplier to a local mom and pop place.

dont discontinue with the co2 that is your problem that is why it happend. you were on a daily regimine and then you stopped for two weeks i am not familiar with what type of light u r using but i know with highligh you have to have co2 or algae would explode my advice would be to go back to using co2
