turqouise rainbow male defect in color?

hey guys, my male just recently changed its color. one side is half black and blueish yellow. but the other side is just regular like most males. i will show u a pic... i have been researching for pics on males but i have never seen anything like mines here. is this a color defect or something? let me know what u guys think.

Could be a hybrid.

Could have melanistic genetic traits.
