I recently didted my tank and so far im not to happy with the results. The water seems to have this green tint and its starting to get on my nervs, If I was to explain my tank it would be a swamp. Theres dirt and leafs floating around, Its been like this for a while and I dont know if there are any solutions.

How thick did you cap it? If you use gravel you need about an inch of gravel per inch of dirt! Plus you need to do some water changes :)

If you use Clarity and have particle filtration setup in your filter with a pad or the glass wool it will TOTALLY remove it from your water.  Will take a day but it is documented to kill 'green water'.

I don't like to use flocculents like that. One, they fix the problem. They just alleviate the symptoms. Two, when they clump all that fine particulate together it makes a thick soup that the fish have to swim through & can potentially harm gills and breathing.

do have fish yet if not, do a couple 100% water changes

redirt it and do LOTS of water changes or if you would rather not redirt it just do lots of water changes!!

let the tank cycle aswell, you may have just had a bacterial bloom

Do water changes, and maybe get a UV sterilizer, or the green killing machine that someone already mentioned.  Cut back on your lights and feeding.  Probably too much extra nutrients in the tank, the plants cant absorn it all so you get algae blooms and green water.  I wouldn't dose any fertz until the water clears up.  Just my 2 cents, hope you figure it out.

Get some duck weed tjey will absorb njtients fast from the water column but they will grow fast
