I have two vesuvius swords, and one is shooting off runners like crazy. I want plant some of the runners. So I tried. Well, it isn't doing well at all. It seems to be just withering away. I am wondering if there is something special I need to do. (It is in dirt capped with gravel) Has anyone had any experience with planting these runners? The roots weren't very long, but I thought they would be mature enough to absorb nutrients and take hold. Maybe I buried the crown? I dunno.
If you have some insight, help. This is one of my favorite plants.
Thanks, Sherry
