Well water is it safe?

Hello people i have small 10 gallon that i am going to make a dirt tank. I just wanted to know if i can use my tap water that is well water. I'm not sure if it is safe sometimes it turns tub drain orange.

Should be safe but if ur not sure test your water witha test kit too see were the parameters stand
