I thought this was a Microsorum pteropus but not quite sure. Maybe some of you guys might be able to help.

Never seen anything like it, almost looks like tree leaves.  Sometimes plants are grown emersed before being sold, this causes their leaves to look very different from what they would look like submerged.  If this is the case, the leaves will all fall off and the submerged form of leaves will begin to grow.  Keep us posted, interesting to see what this plant does.

found a photo of java fern grown emersed, doesn't look the same.  Yours have wider varigated leaves. 

I believe its a bolbitis heteroclita. Its also a fern from Asia, true aquatic not a terrestial plant. Its undemanding as far as light and nutrient. You plant it just like Java fern (dont bury, attach to rock, wood etc.). So far its adapted really well since day one, and its been 3-4 weeks now, and its already growing a new leaf and roots just like java fern. You can see that in the fist picture!  Ill keep yall posted on it!
