Hi guys I dirted my tank about a few weeks ago and I was wondering what kind of lights should i be looking into? It's a 29 gallon tank with jungle val and and an amazon sword, and I don't plan on using any co2. I just wanted to see if anybody had any suggestions for a light to use or if my current stock 17 watt t8 fluorescent bulb would be fine. I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Those are both pretty low light plants but you still may want to think about upgrading in case you want to do some higher light plants later on. I'd personally look into a dual T5HO fixture. If you want to go cheap, Petco is apparently no longer carrying Zoomed products and all their stuff is on clearance for dirt cheap.

My favorite lights I have used are Aquatop's SkyLED for planted tanks. I really like these lights, and the plants seem to like them too. It is extremely bright for such a small fixture. It probably isn't the best light, but you get a real bang for you buck.
