In the tank with the angelfish i think you should put in in some bolivian rams and some sterbei corys, in the tank that is bare i think you should start a cichlid tank and put in some limestone and pile them up and make lots of tunnels for them to claim territory in, then place some tall fake plants across the back of the tank. Use sand as your substrate in the cichlid tank and you should have a awesome show tank. In my opinion i think doing these changes you would have two really awesome tanks but it is up to you.

i think tetras get kinda boring. if u get an elephant nose fish u can teach it to eat out of ur hand.

55G are tall tanks. Mind where the fish swims when you select them. A good wix would have species that stay at the surface, middle, and bottom of the tank.
