Hi Fish People,
I am going to start working on restocking, cleaning up my 46 gal bow front tank. I have red flourite in the bottom,a large pc of driftwood, filters are 2 Aqua-clear 110's, 2 - 12" Blue and White LED light strips, and a 48" 96 watt square pin CFL fixture and light. But the light has weaken a lot. I have been looking for a replacement CFL bulb, and that is where I have gotten confused. The one I had was blue and white, but from what I have been reading that was most likely the wrong light to have. I have read that it should be on the pink side for a freshwater planted aquarium, and then you have all the different types you can get. 6700K, 10000K, 420nm, 460nm, 460nm/10000K, 420nm/460nm and 6700K/10000K. So here goes the question???
What is the best type of CFL bulb can I get for a Freshwater Planted Aquarium??
Thanks a lot Tom

Anything around 6500K is ok. I don't think the nm (nanometer wavelength) is important. Sunlight is best if you can swing it..
