What would be more fun: A tank of bettas or tiger barbs?
I'm planning on getting a 20/30 gallon aquarium (depending on how much money I save up) and am thinking: What would be more interesting, a tank with a male betta with some females? (lots of color and personality) or a shoal of tiger barbs (seem like cool fish to have, and they color also seems striking)?

Both are cool. I have 4 male bettas each one acts different. Then I have a tank with 5 green tiger barbs and they are pretty active fish. In that size tank though if u had a school of barbs 5-8 and a male Betta all the fin nipping the barbs do should b kept to within themselves.
