Ohh man do i know how irritated you are with this stuff. Basically its probably sap coming from your wood, or if your tank is cloudy its fungus being attracted to the woods sap. How i got rid of it was I went all out by first boiling the wood and then putting it in the freezer for two days. I had success and so did my friends but my uncle not really but that is because he probably didnt get the fungus off of his plants. By the looks of it growing on the wood its defiantly the wood thats the problem.

you could also put it in the Oven.

Yeah it went away for me.  i found that the wood was the main source of problem for my tank.
