I just dirtied my tank three days ago and I had three swords before that, that I put back in and other then that I have no other plants in my tank. My question is I'm going out of town for a month and want to wait until I get back before I add anymore plants to my tank, will it hurt my tank to be dirtied with only three amazon swords?

I would say make sure your lights are on timers and set correctly. Maybe get some duckweed or some type of floater at least, when you first dirt a tank your going to have a shit ton of access nutrients and if your not going to be there for the back to back water changes for the first few weeks, there has to be something to absorb them. Maybe have one of your friends do a couple water changes while you are gone. If you have fish living in the tank now I absolutely would Not advise leaving it, for probably the first two months or so your tanks is going to be getting some heavy Nirate, Nitrie, and maybe some ammonia spikes All in which can kill your fish. All in All Kinda sounds like a bad Idea to me, I would suggest putting the swords in some clay pots with dirt caped with gravle. Hate to say it, but clean the tank out of all your dirt and gravel, and just put the swords (planed in pots) back in the tank by them selves and fill it like that till you get home, then do it up right.
