It's 4ft x 1ft x 15in high - a guy at work had it sat around and i asked him how much he wanted for it - he just said take it out of my garage ! I tried reparing the lid but couldnt so running it with just the LED lighting on top and an inline heater and Fluval G3 - which another guy from work was throwing out !

I put 2in John Inness No.3 for the dirt and some black gravel 1in - just getting advice on getting a nice carpet to the right from the guys in the Main Room :)

Isn't this a 55 gallon?

#1 Where do you get this black Gravel? Or what is the name? Looks amazing!!

#2 How is the soil doing? Never heard of that. Is it better than Miracle grow organic potting soil?

#3 What are this green  standing plants in the middle and on the left. And what's the name of that tall grass like plant on both sides?

Thanks!

And great tank… Looking sharp!!

Black Gravel was just some cheap stuff from our local Pests At Home : http://www.petsathome.com/shop/en/pets/black-aquarium-gravel

The soil seems to be doing well - I couldn't get the Miracle Gro Organic stuff here in the UK - Walstad recommends John Inness No.3 Soil

Grass like plant is Vallisneria Spiralis Corkscrew Jungle Val - managed to get 20 pieces on ebay for £8 delivered. The plant in the centre is Water Wisteria http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/myPlants.php?do=view&p=170&am...

Thanks - added 10 Neon Tetras and 2 Snails today

Probably way too late but a little FYI. I'm using Westland aquatic compost under my substrate, claims to be slow releasing and seems pretty clean all in all, oh and the plants seem to like it
