Anacharis, also known as water weed in the united states, yours is looking kind of rough, its going to melt like crazy and your going to have mushy leaves EVERYWHERE
Dang, alright thanks.. how can i prevent that?
You cant prevent plant melting, atleast as far as i know, with some plants like potted ones they usually dont melt since they already have a root system, floating the plant helps them to acclimate to a new tank, but that only helps so much, at this point i dont think you can do anything really, when i bought it, it melted to the point it was just a stem, then a few side shoots came off the stem and they never got bigger then a few inches, then alot of roots came off the stem, just keep it in the tank and see what happens, if it starts melting bad take it out, cus itll just waste away and dirty your tank
okay, i started floating it a couple of days ago because i have crayfish that were tearing it up, and up rooting it anyway.. Lol but it seems to be doing worse in my opinion right now. The gold fish still occasionally peck at it though. a few are just stem now, it sucks.. should i just take it out and try to nurse it back b4 it melts all over my tank, and then try to put it back in later??
If i were you, Id just throw it away, the plant doesnt look that nice anyway, its not good for aqua scaping, its just a messy, uncontrollable plant, at this point i dont think you could nurse it back.
