how many water changes did you do before you put the fish back in?  I'm thinking about dirting my 125 but already have a bunch of fish in it...creates hurdles

Patrick, I think I did 5 or 6 water changes and did 2 within a week after adding the fish.  I also drained a good 1.5 inches of water out of the dirt I had pre-soaked in too much water and realized once it was in the tank.  I had to take the water out to put the gravel down.  If you are going to dirt I recommend buying Dustin's guide, it was very helpful for me.
