Sorry for the delay in my responce. I am still learning this website. The more I use it the more I learn about it. In responce to your question, I did get rid of the cichlids. I gave them to my local petstore. Now I am having a blast with my "new" planted dirt tank. I have planted: 2 ozelot swords,2 red flame swords, dwarf sagittaria, dwarf hairgrass, dwarf baby tears, vallisneria contortion, java fern, anubias nana, ludwigia. And fish I have: 5 neon tetra, 5 glowlight tetra, 3 corycats, and 3 rainbows. Everything is doing well now. The valls "melted" alot but of the 10 I ordered 5 came back and are doing good. I am starting to see alittle algea build up on the gravel. I cut back the time on my lights from 8hrs a day to 6hrs a day. I have T5 - 78watt HO light with diy co2. I have 2 videos on youtube that I will try to post here. It is under jimbo8jk if you would like to see it. I would like some feedback after you see the 2 videos. I will check back soon.
Thanks,
Jim Kohler
