I don't have much Brendan - my german Blue Rams ate their spawn for the 8th time yesterday and detritus on the bottom of my fresh rain water collection barrels is producing small amounts of ammonia. Pretty exciting stuff as you can see.
On the bright side my Angels are breeding in my 20,000 gallon pond and a pair of Sword Tails managed to overwinter in the pond last year - pretty amazing stuff for Boston. We had an unusually warm winter season last year.
I'm gonna visit some local waterways next weekend and dredge up some plants - see what I can find. Love local stuff and LOVE the price. I bought some rubber boots online that reach all the way up to my waist.
Next year I'm throwing some REAL Angelfish in the pond - Altums. Those suckers get 20 freakin inches high and, as far as I know, nobody's breeding them in North America. (Although I'm sure someone probably is.) If they breed I'll get $30ea for the babies and $50 retail. I've got Koi in the pond too and if they bother my Angels I'll fry 'em up for dinner.
well i found out that u can hatch and raise brine shrimp with salt water thats made from IODIZED SALT not aquarium salt.
