Things have been wide open around here. Life with a two year old never dull. The tank is doing well! Looking good, the fry in the tank are growing fast. The last count was around 20. A mix of guppy fry and platy fry.I am using a D.I.Y Co2 trick .I found tones of videos on. Thanks guys your videos were a grate help. ( 2 one liter bottles some air line an air stone. yeast 1 cup sugar 1 cup hot water .)there are many yeast formulas I may play with but thats what I working with now.If any one has ideas please let me know.Things seem to be working well thus far. I am pleased to say I have had no plant lose. I should know my plant names better. I am sorry if I haven't listed them. i have the one Banana lily, java fern, a type of water weed? ( I will try to find out if I am right about that.) To be honest I liked how it looked and I bought it. There is java moss, water wisteria and last but not least there is another unknown. (Forgive me guys) its a grass like plant. I have had some fish lose. The odd one here. Not to make light of the fact. Just that fish lose is a part of the hobby. The numbers in the tank are stable and rising. The lose in large is a result of water changes and limited fish stock at our pets mart. Resulting in less hardy fish. An ick out brake. In acclimating tank . Lasted three days. All clear! Thank Goodness. We also have an African dwarf frog now and a crayfish. I am sure they will predate some of the fry. How ever some fry lose is healthy for the tank over all. My wife gets what she wants. We replaced one male platy that failed ie. died with a nice male sword tail. Outside of water changes that's about it. A side note water changes seem to have fry growth really moving. I can't say it's that for sure. If you have thoughts on this point please share your point of view and or expertise as they are most welcome. Later days Brad and the zoo.
