CFL'S

Looking into DIY cfl setup for a 29gal planted tank. Plan on lo tech med light setup for the time with plans to upgrade as I get more familiar with the hobby. Would appreciate any info on number of bulbs and configuration that I may have succes with. Even any two cents on the thought of going this route!!

Comment by TeamKRF on October 11, 2013 at 8:16am: One thing to remember once in use on aquarium is your tank temps especially during summer months. Perhaps you could plan for a couple small PC fans mounted in canopy to help circulate the air? I haven't done it...yet. I've also seen water evaporation happen faster too so you'll have to do more water top offs.
