So all didn't go as planned...far from it. The leaves of the plant wilted after a week and two of the plants died. I managed to salvage one and hacked all the leaves off the rhizome to restart the growth. I figure the wilting occurred because the plants I bought were kept submerged so the leaves couldn't adapt to the changes. Anyway, now the 'bald' rhizome is submerged in water so that the new leaves that grow from it will be able to survive emersed. The wilting might be due to the humidity because I don't have a mister, but as I mentioned before I live in a country with 60% humidity on average so i really dont know. (Is that high enough?). I will continue monitoring the plant for new growth. Anubias is a hardy plant so ive got that going for me haha

I dont think the humidity is high enough, its about 60% average here too. None of mine have ever dropped leaves when kept in my tub that gets opened twice a day.
Yeah i realised that :(. I don't have a mister or anythg to raise the humidity so I decided to let it grow submerged in my African cichlid tank. Surprisingly, the anubias seems to grow extremely fast in that tank. Two new leaves in a week which is highly unusual. I added another cutting of anubias to the tank to see if the new effect is observed! Well, I guess this project has failed but it marks the beginning of another haha.
