I was wandering if anyone has had a tank that they just leave alone because everything is perfect and balanced. I set up my first tropical aquarium 7 months ago and basically have been improving everything since. I have a 5 gallon which is great because I only have to trim it and stuff but my other tank is 15 gallons (this is the one i got 7 months ago) and set it up with no experience so when I set up my 5 gallon a few months later I got it what I thought was just right. Over the past two weeks I have been spending a lot of money (£160 / $250) on improving my 15 gallon. I bought new lights, new substrate and new plants. Here is a video of it set up: 15 Gallon rescaped.
So my question is, is there a time when an aquarium becomes perfect?
I've found that yes there is a point that you like the tank the way set it up and leave it alone. but most people never get to that point. Once u buy the lights (the ones that are perfect for the job), substrate (the kind you really want) plants (once again the ones you want) fish (blah blah) and set it up exactly the way you want. THEN you can be happy
but any time you have a different idea, and you apply it to the tank that you think is good. then you start things all over again. Its best to just start a new tank all together and leave the one you set up alone.
