Light not sure what to get for a planted tank

I have a 55g tank not sure what light to get I do know I want to get led I want to do a low to med Tech plants any suggestions

low tech get a a double t5 no light fixture (not HO) or a double t8 light fixtue will put u in the low light range more or less at ur substrate.

Dirt works great in low tech tanks. Look up the walstad method. Shes the godmother of the dirt world.

u can maybe carpet with dwarf sag if u want carpet plants if thats wat u meant

lowes or home depot shop light fixtures ~12 bucks

I used two 2 bulb fixtures of T8s (4 bulbs - 6500K) and found it was too much - caused algae.  I changed to only one set of 2 bulbs of T8s in a shop light fixture still 6500K and 8 to 10 hours a day.  Play around with the time until you are comfortable, but T8s at 6500K worked for me.
