Maleri island peacock

I have a male maleri maleri peacock and he was starting to color up and then his face turned gray and the yellow on his body turned pale. What could have caused this?

Tom,

Please post a photo or better yet a video of the fish and the aquarium.  What is the ph?  What size is the fish and how long have you had it?  A short video would be most helpful, it will answer many questions.
