great set up so far. how about making the empty space a meddow of sorts. maybe some hair grass or possibly a small piece of driftwood with some plants on it
Tanks is looking great. A piece of driftwood with plants attached would be a good way to go
A smaller piece of driftwood in the front left-hand corner pointed toward the middle of the tank will counterbalance the larger piece of driftwood in the back right-hand corner. And a large, angular rock in the back left-hand corner in front of the filter will counter the rounded stones on the other side. This is boring, conventional wisdom - aesthetics 101 if you will...
LED is right about the space on the left-hand side looking empty. Not that having the space there is bad, but it needs some sort of natural markings (low lying plants, stones) that resembles a path leading from the front to the back of the aquarium - again, another piece of conventional wisdom. Eventually you'll develop your own style. Dustin has a great video about how to aqua-scape an aquarium - wish I could remember which one it was. I'll see if I can find it and find one of my old posts about aqua-scaping.
By the way, your use of color is great and throwing all the plants together on the right side works for me.
Tank looks great. but i would just put a ozalote sword in the middle of the sand area and then surround it w/ hair grass or glosso it would look sweet
thanks u guys for the advice:))
ill make an update when im done with the other half
repeat what you did on the right side on the left side. not exactly or you could but fill it in and try to hide the heater? and sponge filter.
and how did you get your sponge filter to sink, mine is a cheap chinese model and I can't read the box so I'm sure im doing something wrong but mine looks exactly like yours and it floats I have it wedged between an ornament and the glass at the moment. The right side looks great btw.
lol my sponge filter was floating to when i first got it
i left in the tank for awhile and then i came back it sunk by itself
plus mines have weight build on the bottom so that probably y
it stay under water:PP and not floating
does yours have weight?
