Hey guys I am just wondering for my 55 gallon I have gravel and LED lights and I have fake plants,  sadly. Any advice for any hardy plants that could do good in gravel and LED lights. Also please comment for my 20 gallon with T5 sadly same condition fake plants. PLEASE HELP!

hey man,i would dirt my tank first and then think about plants...... after that plants like amazon sword and any moss will do fine jungle val.

If you're using gravel u might need to add ferts. And make sure your leds are providing 10 lumens per square inch of tank surface area and a 6500K (approx) color spectrum. A cheap hardware shoplight will give you the same results as an expensive set of leds. Sunlight is best if you can provide it.

But good beginner plants are the ones Joe South mentioned along with Cabomba, Egeria species, hornwart, dwarf sag and echino. tenellus. Large Amazon plants are good too, but would most probably demand ferts. A nice clay substrate like non-clumping Kitty litter (Turface, Oil-Sorb) mixed with Loam and/or Flourite would be great. But that's up to you. Have you visited your local waterways? Native species are almost impossible to kill.
