I'm replacing my Cabomba green. I'm hoping you all can help me decite which plant to replace it with. I have two options that i came up with http://bit.ly/PRt7iH or http://bit.ly/PRt6LB
If you have a link to a picture of a different type of plant that does not require co2 or super high light then give me that link or plant name
Thanks for the help guys =)
(EDIT!! Purple Waffle is NOT a long term submergable plant give me other options instead lol)
So far I have 1 vote for the spiral plant
I'm not sure what the spiral plant is, but the purple waffle isn't aquatic from what I've read.
I'm assuming this is an aesthetic issue, so I leave these kinds of things up to the hobbyist. But Dustin made an apropos comment in one of his videos: something like "Its almost impossible to throw a plant (or rocks and wood) in an aquarium and not make it look good.
It's never fun when a plant starts to die and rot in an aquarium because it's a house plant. I'm sure the places that sell these kinds of plants for aquariums are happy to have people come back to replace them every month. I'm not saying it would look bad or not to buy it, i'm simply trying to be informative. I actually have 2 Peace Lilies (non-aquatic) in my tank just because I think they look good.
spiral over waffle......but you should look into some crinums natans or calamistratum or if your looking for something to take up a little more room and fill stuff in more id suggest some vesuvius swords they shoot out runners like crazy.
