setting up a 55 gallon tank
I am setting up a 55 gallon fish tank and would like to what is the best filter and quiestest pump to go with.

canister filters are pretty quiet i has the fluval 306 and i like it alot quick and good filtration so yea.

Canister is what I would go with. I find them effective and quiet. I have a marineland c-220 on my 55 gallon, as well as an aquaclear 30 for extra circulation. There are many types of brands, do some research and find what you like best and what works for other people!

I also have canister filters - a Fluval 205 on my 45gal and a Fluval 306 on my 75gal - they are very quiet and clean the tanks great !!!!
