are you dirting or have special plant sustrate and what kind of lighting are you planning to have?

there are many easy to care for plants out there. take a look at dustins website he has a begginer combo that is very popular. lighting and your substrate are what you want to look at when building up your new tank. you can always decide on co2 and your ferts accordlingly later on.

as far as plants:

mossess

java fern

so many types of anubias go online not many at lfs (dont plant the rhizomes) best on driftwood or rock

crypts crypts and more crypts. low light adds color different shapes and sizes

dwarf sag. needs a little ferts and ok lighting and it wil go bonkers. a little invasive but if you have space its great. prune it back and sell your big runners

i have a tank with a wall of driftwood along the entire back with anubias, java fern(all three types),and moss. in front i have the dwarf sag that will eventually carpet the whole front. it has two t8 bulbs with zoomeds flora bulb 5hrs on a day. i fert once a week with seachem flourish(great product use as directed) and i sometimes add liqued co2(not needed for these plants just and extra boost) so very simple and looks great

the fish are really up to your preference. some good exmaples

cardinal tetra: easy to find not expensive (has full red line beneath neon line)

galaxy rasorbora/pearl celstial danio: small a little harder to find but worth the money great fish for a small tank i love mine look them up great colors

harlequin tetra: never had these but look great in a big school and most petstores carry them

guppies: great colors and always available

dustin has a vidoe about this. saying how sticking to a few species or even one looks great in a planted tank.

If thats all u have go with anubias or java fern or java moss u wont need to dose ferts just the minerals in the water should be enough. And they can grow with just ambient light. They also dont require special substrate, gravel is all u need. U can get diff types of anubias like nana petite, nana, barterii they will all grow np. Also the stocking options ur thinking of will work great. I u have n e other questions feel free to ask
