What to put for my betta soritoty tank mates?

So everyone gets their shipment of fish in the stores tomorrow. So I want my 5 betta girls to have some tank mates in a planted 20 gal tall tank. I'm so stoked about getting corycats. But I also want to get some other schooling or shoaling fish. But I am undecided on what to get. I have a small budget to work with it. But I also have a 10gal QT tank I can put them in for a few weeks first to see if they develop any diseases.

So my question is what kind of peaceful non-fin nipping community fish can I get that would counter my girls beautiful colors? One is a blue and purple. One is a pink and red. Another is 2 shades of blue. And I have a red one and a rainbow type color. I want something that kinda pops or is just as colorful as my girls. I have a half dirted half not 20gal tropical tank and want some mates for my girls. So tell me what you think I can get cheap thats on a budget.

I have keep guppies with female bettas, and male bettas; and no, neons, wont bother any other fish at all.

Honestly any fish that isn't to colorful should be fine. Corry cats work perfectly. I would definitely suggest dwarf corry cats though. They don't take up much room and are playful. Some peaceful loaches might work. Anything that moves fast might put stress on them. Especially if its in their swimming level.
