It's awesome to see native fish of North America like this! Is there a Texas cichlid in there? I had one at one time, when it was just a baby, but had to give it to a bigger home than I could provide.

No Texas cichlids. Just grass pickerel, green sunfish, northern longears, central longear, black crappie, pumpkinseed, channel catfish, stonecat madtom and carp. I know carp are not native but they have been here for 135 years and are the most distributed fish in North America.

Pretty cool man! Do you have to chill that water or do those fish tolerate warmer water?

Thanks, I don't have to chill it. I keep it at room temp which keeps the water around 70 to 74 degrees in the summer. And around 50 degrees in the winter. My tanks are in a room attached to the back of my garage.

Yeah Pedro, I may end up doing the same thing. I've got an enclosure between the house and garage - drops to about 42 degrees in the winter. Heating the tank in the winter would be costly and North American cichlids are beautiful. Saw your pics on member photos - awesome.
