you might want to get better lights
"Better lights"? Do you know something about these lights I don't, cause everything I've read and have been told is that these light are awesome. Besides the spectrum possibly being a little higher than I'd like, and some saltwater guys complain the par/lux are a little weak, but I don't know how much better they could be. I mean they cost $400 so I certainly hope they are pretty much top notch stuff.
I am thinking of getting the aquatic plant LED because they do have higher lumens and a lower spectrum but I'm not sure the lights are why my plants are struggling. I suspect it's my dosing routine. If I do get the aquatic plant LED I'm probably going to run both sets of lights and have the timers set to stagger them so that the aquatic plant LEDs come on first then the reef capable come on maybe an hour or 2 later and go off an hour or 2 before the plant LEDs so that it sorta simulates morning(plant LEDs alone)/bright afternoon sun(both plant and reef LED together)/evening(plant LED alone).
that might work, how many watts does your current light fixture have ?
They have the light rated at 75 watts but it only has 54 1 watt bulbs so I don't understand where they 75 watts from. So either ways lets say it's between 54-75 watts, that's still by far one of the most powerful LED light fixtures I've seen stats for.
