Bad heaters and dead fish
I upgraded from a Marineland Visi Therm heater to an Aqueon Pro heater because the temperature was jumping all over the place, and eventually got too hot for two of my white cloud mountain minnows to handle. The temperature swings probably played a part in the death of the rasboras but who knows... I've read numerous accounts of harlequin rasboras dying off one by one for no apparent reason, so maybe it's just a matter of there not being many quality harlequin rasboras out there.
