Ryan,

Your aquarium looks good but could use a few more rocks.  Peacocks (Aulonocara) prefer large spacious caves more so than mbuna and you are correct, they do like to breed in a secluded area but it need not necessarily be in a cave.  Most times in an aquarium, it is in a quiet, back corner.

It is unlikely that aulonocara would mate with labidochromis but stranger things have happened.  I really couldn't tell what the two fish on the left were but looked like jewels or some other non-rift lake species.  If true, they are not really a good mix.  Good start and keep it up and good luck.

thanks for the advice. In earlier videos on my youtube channel I state this tank was originally going to be a one species mbuna tank but then I came across the other fish (minus yellow labs) in an overcrowded 30 gallon and couldn't stand for it. I am looking for homes for all my fish (6 tanks total) because I'm moving across country. I will take your advice when selecting homes. Thanks again

Many think species only is boring but it is the most fascinating way to see how they behave in nature.  Good luck with your relocation.
