Hey Michael, nice and simple vacuum. I did a similar thing but took it a step further using a cheap $20 700lph power head attached to the top of a length of clear acrylic tube. I used the bits and pieces that came with the power head, the sock off a Penn Plax air powered gravel cleaner and some electrical tape to make the connections snug, to make the debris collector. Works extremely well!

Looks really good, does the pump ever get clogged up with debris? like if you gravel vac super hard or get plant material in it?
