i would go with the siamese algae eater if u can find one. they r alot better at eating algae, and they r very active. the chinese algae eater when he gets older he will not eat algae and some will try to eat the slime coats off your fish, which will make your fish more likely  to get ill.

thanks :) i will look for Siamese algae eaters. and Im working on a sand bottom gallon any ideas for that. anyone?
